Child parent relationship therapy

In Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), the parent learns the basics of Child Centred Play Therapy. It reinforces the believe that secure child parent relationship is the essential factor in promoting a child's wellbeing. The premise of CPRT is that through the strengthening of this relationship the attachment bond will help to reduce child behaviours.

Parents attend 6 group sessions in which they learn the skills to conduct at home sessions with their child, practice the skills and receive feedback and supervision.

Attendees will receive a CPRT manual and have the opportunity to produce their own home based play therapy kit.
